The Faith Not Fear Summit will bring together more than 800 leaders and clergy from San Diego’s faith communities, including Bishop Robert McElroy, Bishop James Mathis, and Bishop George Dallas Mckinney to unite us to stand together to protect those most impacted by today’s most divisive issues.
We will share stories and testimonies rooted in faith, not fear, and turn toward innovative, community-driven solutions related to:
- Access to affordable healthcare
- Immigration and citizenship reform
- Policing and racial profiling
- Criminal and juvenile justice reform
- Opposing the Muslim ban
The federal administration continues to propose actions rooted in racism and xenophobia that threaten the rights and safety of our neighbors and families. Across San Diego, we know that now is the critical time to disrupt systemic patterns of hatred and racism that tear our families apart. Now is the time to set a new precedent for hope.
As people of faith, we believe that every human being has sacred worth and is created in the image of God, which demands that we view people as people-not as workers, commodities or criminals. We believe in the inherent dignity of the human person, and we practice welcoming the stranger and protecting the poor and marginalized.
Join us on Wednesday, April 19 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Click here to RSVP.
