Reject a Secret Panel to Select Our Next Police Chief

September 29, 2017

We Demand a Transparent Selection for Our Next Police Chief

Our families deserve to feel safe and protected in our neighborhoods. That means a fair and transparent selection process for our next Police Chief, with full input from our communities. This means no secret panel and no decisions made behind closed doors.

As San Diego’s Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman prepares to retire, we have six opportunities to speak up about what matters to our communities and advocate for a panel of community members to choose our next chief.

Can we count on you to join us at one of the following dates?

  • Wednesday, October 4 at 6 p.m. City Heights Recreation Center, 4380 Landis Street
  • Thursday, October 5 at 6 p.m. Standley Recreation Center, 3585 Governor Drive
  • Tuesday, October 10 at 6 p.m. Colonel Irving Salomon San Ysidro, Community Activity Center, 179 Diza Road
