Bearing Witness: A Pilgrimage for Health Reform

“Bearing Witness: A Pilgrimage for Health Reform” is a multi-media video, photography and new media exhibit which captures the faces and uplifting direct testimony of Americans who call upon Congress to accomplish health insurance reform.  Beginning in San Diego where 300 images were captured and/or filmed, the exhibit moved across country.  At each venue, new faces were photographed and added to the exhibit’s collection at stops in San Bernardino and the San Francisco Bay Area in California; Denver; Kansas City, Missouri; New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, all in Louisiana; and Orlando, Florida.  It was presented to the House of Representatives in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. in  mid-October before concluding with final stops in New York City and Little Rock, Arkansas.  An interactive website “icareforhealthcare.org” is the virtual window into the stories of typical citizens speaking to their elected officials and to the nation.
